Important new DEQ comment period

Important to get the word out.  Deadline is May 30.    Here is the link:
Preserve Craig and the County need to prepare and submit specific info on risks to water from the crossings.
Craigs Creek crossing, Sinking Creek, small streams not even listed, etc.  Karst data, etc.

MVP will have to stop construction if a new review of unregulated stream crossing permits leads to their withdrawal.  Public comments can be submitted this month to the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), specifically addressing the risks to Virginia waters causing by MVP construction at our waterways.   The State Water Control Board, shocked that DEQ had approved MVP Erosion & Sedimentation Control plans without consultation as well as lack of scrutiny by DEQ by accepting a blanket national permit, demanded a full review of stream crossing impacts.
