- Field trip to Green Bank Observatory and Beartown trail February 28, 2026
- 8:00 am meet at Food Country in New Castle carpool
- 9-10 Breakfast at Swinging Bridge, then drive to the observatory
- Noon: 1 hour bus tour of Green Bank Observatory
- 2-3 pm Learn about dark skies and radioastronomy
- 3 pm head for home with an optional stop at Beartown state park for a short hike.
- March 3, 2026 Preserve Craig meeting, Bibo’s Pizza 6 pm
- Hike to Hanging Rock Raptor Observatory: Sunday, March 8 at 1:30 pm meet at the parking lot for a one-mile hike to view the building that will be replaced, and bring your binoculars for birdwatching!
