Motion to Revise Stormwater Discharge

Summary: Preserve Craig filed a motion earlier this week asking the FERC to have MVP revise its stormwater discharge analysis. The original analysis was incomplete, inaccurate and now proven to be very seriously flawed. Both Craigs Creek and Sinking Creek are being harmed.
Quote: “Such analysis is necessary to identify and mitigate impacts to waterbodies downstream of the limits of disturbance for the MVP Project some of which provide habitat for federally listed endangered species, and to accurately assess the potential for scour and channel migration at each waterbody crossing so as to prevent damage to the buried pipeline and protect public safety. Movants request the Commission issue a project-wide stop work order until such analysis is complete.”
